Why does Nas be all political & shit all of a sudden but then he’ll contradict it 1 album later. Mark my words… It’s dope, though. I just don’t take Nas seriously as an artist anymore.

Actually, Nas’s stuff has been political for quite some time. Barring his fued with Jay his stuff has pretty much always been in this direction; Street’s Disciple, Hip-Hop is Dead and now this. This is the man that took Blow’s black diamonds and pearls and made it a legendary song. If you don’t respect Nas as an artist you have no respect for hip-hop.

I didn’t say I don’t respect him as an artist. I respect all artists. I just don’t take him seriously because he contradicts alot of what he says. It’s still dope, I just don’t jock the dude because he’s just writing rhymes not being proactive about it.

Street Disciple was weak in my opinion. Hip-Hop Is Dead was cool. Stillmatic was cool, I’m just sayin…He’s not proactive about his messages. He’s just writing rhymes. Of course I respect the man as an artist. I respect the wackest mainstream artist. He’s just not proactive about what he raps about sometimes. But alot of conscious artists are like that nowadays. It’s just music though.

^^can you delete the comments I made in this thread. It keeps showing up in search engines when people google my name. The whole world dosent really need to know how I feel about a Nas album. I wouldn’t have even posted shit. Real talk. I don’t need the nigger tape showing up everytime I google my name…so can you delete my comments on this topic pls. Nothing else that I post on sites shows up in google under my name.
