Apple’s latest quarter details: $1.61B profit

Apple just recently announced their profits for the last quarter and here’s the numbers. From $10.17 billion revenue they made a record $1.61 billion profit. Sales figures were up also, Macs went up 9% to 22.5 million sold, iPods were up 3% to 22.7 million sold and iPhones which you probably only care about….. up 88 % to 4.3 million sold, it’s a shame… more people will be walking around with my phone now, but congratulations Apple. Engadget also reports that “Apple’s now sold well over 10M iPhone 3Gs on top of beating its goal of 10M total iPhones in 2008″. I can’t wait to see what new devices apple come out with in 09. Also how many of you are using Macbooks ?

I’m gonna invest in the new macbook after i graduate, been a windows man since my first computer. But i’m buying more apple stuff recently so i might as well have both. GL on the comments.
Only Mac we have in this house is my wife’s and thats the one The schol district gave her, and all it does is charge. She has an HP ent Lap, and My PC is a Hp Touchsmart…HOlla!!!
Oh I have an Iphone 3g, after i upgraded from the first one. and theres three ipods in this house…
everybody in my family had an iphone (2 broke em) me and my pops got powerbooks apple is makin a killin but windows and bill gates just fell off puttin out inferior product for the last five years
Sorry Apple fans but I’m pretty sure Microsoft’s numbers were double that…

@ LT, indeed m$ did make more profit, but they made less profit than last year. So they wont be as happy as Apple are. Infact they are cutting 5,000 jobs…
