Flashing Lights: Movie Connection? (OS Exclusive)

For those of you who aren’t feeling Kanye’s music video for Flashing Lights, this might change your mind. In Diamonds Are Forever, James Bond is taken out to the desert and left to die. The screencaps below look very familiar…
Kanye wore a black suit in Flashing Lights, just as Bond usually does(1st pic). The car’s headlights FLASH several times on the way out to the desert(3rd pic). Yes, there is even a spy gadget lighter that drops out of Bonds’ pocket while he’s unconscious (5th pic).
Kanye also sampled the movie’s theme song for his first single on Late Registration… Am I reaching? I don’t think so! lol

Yeah you are reaching because this isn’t diamonds are forever this is flashing lights. I can’t lie u pointed out some similarites but this isn’t a spy song. Flashing lights is a song about a breakup. A fatal attraction type breakup at that as shown in the video cause da crazy bitch killed him. Think about the lyrics 2 da song

i think the video might have to do with pulp fiction…see what Ye’ is wearin? (if thats him in the trunk?) and that girl looks like the girl in pulp fiction.thats just the first thing i thought when i first saw it.

Seems a lot like “Goodfellas” as well, with the killing of a guy in the trunk. Also “Casino”, since it is the middle of the desert.
What the hell are you clowns on about. First, that chick is fine as hell (and I’m gay). Whoever called her fat must have an eating disorder (and I don’t see you in any music videos). Second, that video is HOT! No matter if it is a take on James Bond or whatever. Kanye is groundbreaking and just because he isn’t flashing bling or rapping about his boat does not mean his video should not receive the acclaim it deserves. All those who don’t appreciate his work are lame and you should go back to watching Souljah Boy cause y’all are WHACK!
No matter the connections that you make (its a cross between “Thin Line Between love and Hate” and “Diamonds are forever”), the video is still whack. I think he tries so hard to go outside the box that he reaches no one. He’s surrounded by a bunch of yes men and people that are gonna tell him everything he does is great. But if you cant say that something you did is whack, and you have no one to tell you that then your craft is gonna always be tainted. Rappers need to know that putting out garbage is part of the artistic process. Everyone does it. Just because someone doesn’t like something doesn’t not make them a hater. The thing that makes you a hater is the REASON why you dont like something. And there are many legitimate reasons to not like this video.
