“Once entries are uploaded, the sponsors and any of their agents, licensees, affiliates, clients, principals, and representatives will have the absolute right and permission to copyright, use, exhibit, display, print, reproduce, televise, broadcast and distribute, for any lawful purpose, in whole or in part, through any means without limitation, any of the entries, all without inspection or further consent or approval by the undersigned of the finished product or of the use to which it may be applied. “
Complex updated the rules. The following statement now preceeds the language referenced above.
THE FOLLOWING COPYRIGHT STATEMENT REFERS TO MOTOROLA’S PROMOTIONAL USAGE OF THE WINNING TRACK FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES IN MOTOROLA-SANCTIONED PROMOTIONS, COMMERCIALS, WEBSITE(S) AND VIDEOS RELATED TO THE PROMOTION. ARTISTS WILL MAINTAIN OWNERSHIP OF THEIR TRACKS FOR FUTURE USE OUTSIDE THE REALM OF THE PROMOTION.
Hopefully this will ease some concerns. Please let me know if anyone has any further questions. Good luck to all that participants. Your submissions should begin going live tomorrow.
