Dr. Dre Invites Jay-Z To Rap On Detox

“Well, actually, Jay-Z’s just been in the studio doing some writing,” Dre told MTV News on Friday while promoting his new Beats by Dr. Dre/ HP notebook collaboration. “Hopefully I’ll get him to perform on the record. Jay, come holler!“

Maybe he can write Still D.R.E. Pt. 2. Does anyone believe Detox will drop next year?

    Truth is music industry has been dramatically hurt over the past decade (notably through illegal downloadin)

    Artists, especially rappers, ain’t sellin’ as much as they used to, two decades away from now. Dre himself has been dramatically diversifyin’ his activities, eventually bein’ today more business oriented, that art oriented..

    So as perfectionist as we know Dre, do u really think he would, in these hard times, waste’ his time comin’ up with an album that wouldn’t even be platinum?

    He first mentioned Detox back in 2004. At this time, the music industry was still flourishing. Things evolved ever since then, so did Dre. The King is quietly retiring from Music. Look Relapse, which is a great record. The shit wouldn’t even sell the proper way.

    Is it just me, or does Dre look like he’s been working more with botox than Detox?
