XXL Freshman Class 2010?
Earlier today, a screen shot was released which presumably revealed the new Freshman List for 2010. If you remember correct, last year’s Top Of The Class cover showcased acts like Curren$y, KiD CuDi, Wale, B.o.B, Blu, Cory Gunz, Mickey Factz, Asher Roth, Charles Hamilton & Ace Hood. Of course, with no details confirmed by XXL, the list was mere speculation for the time being.
We obtained a statement from XXL Magazine concerning the leaked information, to clear up any misconceptions and questions in regards to the situation.
I’m writing from XXL to let you know the email about XXL’s 2010 Freshman Class
is a fake list that did not come from our magazine.While we are flattered about the enthusiasm and heat The Freshman Class generates,
this list did not come from XXL and was most likely created and leaked by someone in hopes of boosting their career.We are always on the lookout for the most promising artists who do, in fact, make it into XXL.
The current issue of XXL (our double Dec/Jan 2010 issue with 50 Cent on the cover) is on stands now.
So there you have it folks. You can all breathe a little easier.

7.NeakO(BOTH Rubix cube mixtapes were SOLID n WELL done, his production is ILL too)
8.Chip Tha Ripper(this dude is bout to BLOW UP! The Cleveland Show is SO SMOOTH)
9.The Kid Daytona(Come with me is a SOLID album n my man is LYRICAL as shit)
10.The Cool Kids(these dudes are SO FRESH! So DOPE, production is CRAZY, lyrics are TOUGH, these dude HAVE FUN n i think they DESERVE to be on that list, Gone Fishing was a DOPE mixtape)

Lyrically SKYZOO, XV, J.COLE, and FASHAWN are second to none.
H-TWENTY and JAY ROCK’s flow are both really aggressive and they have good wordplay.
BIG SEAN has a nice delivery and when he wants can get real lyrical.
I haven’t listened to too much NIPSEY and WIZ but what I have heard they both are talented but they seem like they’re are limited lyrically, maybe it’s just b/c I haven’t listened to them enough. I’m going to get some of their mixtapes.
And then there is NICKI MINAJ. Personally I think Nicki is clever with her lyrics I think she would get a lot more respect if she was solo. I understand how her delivery could get old to some individuals but it really doesn’t bother me.
I think this would be a great list if this were the real one if not I could see this list being better than the actual one XXL comes up with.
