Joell Ortiz & Novel – Defying The Predictable [Mixtape]

Posted by thekidLEGEND - February 5, 2010

We told you about a week ago that today would be the day for Defying The Predictable. Joell Ortiz and Novel have been known to collaborate on numerous occasions, but now we see them go in on a whole mixtape together. You should be familiar with a couple of these tracks if you’ve been paying attention already. Novel even gets his rap on here and you already know how Joell gets down on the mic. The tag team definitely compliments each other well.

Don’t forget that the video for “Call Me” is on the way. The single is now available on iTunes (you can purchase it here) and it makes for a dope bonus track to add to the tape. YAOWAH!!

I love this tape, Joellz gets grimey, at first glance you would almost think hes fucking up the flow or foundation of the song, but if you keep listening he always wraps it up with a sicc rythemic flow, or something from the heart. Novel’s always doing his thing, to be honest I have not heard a tape from novel yet, that I play in the car and everybody that gets in the whip says ” can i get a copy of this?” “who is this” and I find myself throwing in his other mixtapes even when i’ve made myself bored with the music from replaying so many times in the ride. I guess thats prolly cuz nobodys puting out any quality music anymore.. or i guess i should say I just have a much smaller selection. so props to novel and joell, for making a great peace of art and a quality record to keep spinnin.

The Zip file asks for a password to open it. Anyone know it?
