Questlove IS the dude. Him and Black Thought are the core of the ROOTS. I respect him as a producer and lover of music and detail. To the commentor who wasn’t a ROOTS fan anymore, fam, catch them on tour with Erykah Badu and WALK BACK INTO THE LIGHT. Black Thought is criminally slept on! I wasn’t really feeling GAME THEORY but I’m still a ROOTS DEVOTEE. On a sidenote though, Thought should fukk with some other producers. Whatever happened to the jawn called MASTERPIECE that he was working on back in the days? Where are those lost tapes?

It is refreshing to see a Musician who is passionate about Music.

Questlove is a living legend and The ROOTS is as good as it gets in the industry. I applaud them for remaining true.

I LOVE and admire ?uest. I can’t wait to hear the new Al Green album, I love work hes done with other artists (especially D’Angelo), props to him for making Jays Reasonable Doubt anniversary show worth every penny but I’m not a Roots fan anymore and haven’t been for over a decade now. (Things Fall Apart was ok, but Illadelph was the last album I really njoyed from them)

Anyway that said I don’t care to hear Rising Down so wasn’t checking for it but was surprised (shocked) that it didn’t leak. So I had to check for myself and sorry ?uest but it LEAKED. Not sure when the interview was done but unfortunately its out.

Hope the album does well. I’m not dowloading it because I have no interest in hearing it. I heard a few tracks and that was enough to let me know I’ll probably never be a Roots fan again.

But I will always check and listen to anything non Roots that ?uest is involved in.

probably the best dialogue i’ve read about ?uest and the roots thats not on a ?uestlove blog, or within the roots liner notes.
