The Week OnSMASH [5.4.08]

Time to recap another exciting week. Jean Grae started it off saying goodbye, but the homie YN couldn’t let her go without putting his 2 cents in. The Roots were ALL OVER TV and hopefully you already bought a copy of their new album, Rising Down. If not, learn from the homie Skillz and start supporting artists who regularly give back. The 11th Annual Justo awards were this week, and it seems like many people weren’t happy with the results. I guess you cant win them all….and without Justo, it will never be the same again. GTA hit stores this week shattering sales records and playing the game, we saw some Bentleys get taken away right? (but then we realized that was reality for Lil Kim). Common said his album is 100% Kanye-Free, while Yeezy stayed battling the press over concert reviews. I can see why though, when you put so much passion into what you do, its hard taking criticism (or full out bashing for that matter). And with gas prices so high….theres nothing like burning some money, right Ross? Lesson learned though, tuck ya chain….or you WILL get jacked! (Word to Fif).
