The Week OnSMASH [6.8.08]
In a week that saw beef and controversy prevail, as well as history in the making with Obama winning the Democratic nomination…it ended with the Lakers going down 0-2 with an almost impossible upset. From irate DJ’s rallying against Lil Wayne, to DJ’s rallying against JD for HIS comments on them being dead. We even saw artists push kids offstage in an effort to help fans love their music even more. The week wasnt finished without more re-cap from the Summer Jam festivities, as a slew of videos hit the net.
On the music side of things, Nas released the new single from his Untitled album, as well as his Green Lantern mixtape, and theres no question that Jay-Z was the billionth and one person to hop on Lil Wayne’s A Millie beat. Remy Ma poured her heart out on tracks with a dedication to Pap, while G-Unit was back in Southside Jamaica Queens mode. Our mixtape this week had the right touch, while video of the week went all the way to Philly.
