Robert Kelly has come a long way from all the turmoil from the past couple years. It’s still unclear whether the people are rallying around him again, but on this song he talks about the club and how he isn’t leaving until the lights come on. For a “club” track though this is pretty slow tempo though. We figured he would kick up the bpm’s a little more. Spotted at Dajaz1.
Akon – Party Animal

Akon and David Guetta have been known to work together already, most notably on “Sexy Girl” from David Guetta’s last album. Akon has always been one to smash the clubs too, so it shouldn’t really come as a surprise to hear the direction he went on with this. DG been going in with the production credits lately though.

Then Fabolous went on Angie Martinez and we thought we had a release date, but turns out we didn’t. Finally we heard a preview of it that got everybody hyped and DJ Drama got on Twitter the other day and gave confirmation on the 45555th FINAL release date for the project. The most delayed mixtape of all time… OF ALL TIME!!!!
If You Ain’t Know So…. There Is No Competition Part 2: The Funeral Service is now here.

Yesterday we saw Rae on the smooth side with a track dedicated to the show Lip Service (SMH if you said the track was trash) and now he’s back on regular scheduled programming with that boom bap NY shit. Seeing how Alchemist laced him on the OB4CL2 album, we’re glad to see them connect again. Rae needs to go in on a whole album with ALC. That shit would be crazy.

In terms of the West Coast, Problem is definitely one to check for in the next couple months. This one is for the wake and bake heads out there off that coffee and kush. That definitely sounds like the way to start the morning. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

WTK laces about 15 tracks with that raw mixtape shit. Check the jump for the tracklisting and link.

While we all wait for the Method Man, Raekwon & Ghostface Wu-Massacre album, random drops like these just make us anticipate even more. We don’t even mind the fact it takes 2:07 for his verse to kick in. DJ Scratch on the production laces Rae something proper and even though these are the types of songs we expect out of Ghostface, we’re demanding a remix of this with Ghost on it. Someone make that happen asap. Spotted at TeamYee.
In related Raekwon news, you can watch his Canal Street [Trailer] in our videos section now.

It seems like the unreleased Usher songs have been coming at such a quick speed, that we’ve only witnessed such rampant leakage by the likes of Ne-Yo. This soft ballad links him back up with JD & it is co-produced by Brian Michael Cox though. Raymond vs. Raymond is due out March 30th.
OS REWIND: Usher – Lay You Down
Young Jeezy Talks Plies Collabo, Says Next Album Will Drop In June
Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010Young Jeezy sat down with MTV to speak on his latest song “Lose My Mind” featuring Plies from his upcoming Thug Motivation 103 album, which has a tentative June release date now. He explains the actual meaning behind the record and how he ended up getting Plies on the final cut for the street single. We’ve still yet to hear any word from Trap Or Die 2 though (or get a solid release date) but more records from the project should be leaking soon.
The commercial single from the album should be dropping sometime next week too and we heard it has a pretty big time feature. We’re hoping it’s produced by who we think its produced by too.
Little Brother – Curtain Call
Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Little Brother is getting ready to exit the game and hit the curtain call with this album being the last of their tenure. While both Phonte and Rapper Pooh are doing their thing on the solo tip, this is the first leak from their upcoming final album in which they break down their journey and why they’re hanging up the jersey, over some Khrysis production. They also big up those who will be the ones they think will carry the torch and hold down the fort in their absence.
No release date has been set for Left Back (no production from 9th Wonder either) but Phonte is already working on his solo effort set to drop this fall. This actually leaked on their Myspace first, but Phonte came through with the CDQ for the fans.
Redman – Mind On My Money
Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Although the last leak got a lot of spins in the whip (see: “Redman – Oh My“) and this one doesn’t sound as strong as the last, Reggie Noble gets a pass regardless. The song isn’t too deep, but Redman still keeps it funky even on recycled topics like these.
We might have to give it a couple more spins but we’re anticipating the pothead tracks to leak. There is no set date on when his upcoming album Reggie is set to drop as of yet.
Maino – Trina, Kim, Or Nicki

Considering Splash unleashed the instrumental to “Beamer, Benz Or Bentley” in his Random Instrumentals Pt. 23 series (I see you Splash), you knew it was inevitable for rappers to jump on their version of the catchy Lloyd Banks single. Joell Ortiz was official the first with his, but now another BK representative rocks the track on some “Dreams” 2010 type shit.
At the end of the day, we should ask Ludacris who the best is since he’s worked with all of them. We’ll definitely pass up on Lil Kim though. For the record, the only version left to do is the alcoholic beverage version (“Beer, Patron or Henny”). I’m saying though..
